Its been a while since we reviewed a Reflex Gaming slot and having slightly recovered from our 2/10 review of Krazy Klimber in mid 2021 here we will be reviewing their upcoming release Time Machine Pay Rise Reels a slot releasing in conjunction with the Yggdrasil Masters Programme on the 10/02/2022. The slot will feature a low volatility and a fixed RTP of 95.50% Here we will provide you with first look pictures and descriptions of the slots base game and bonus before giving our full Genius Gambling Review and Rating.
Base Game
Initially played across 5x3 reels Time Machine features low paying symbols depicted by traditional card suits ranging from hearts to diamonds with the highest paying symbols being characterised as clocks, time machines and other steam punk based items. These must create a matching combination across the slots first three reels and 243 winning ways to unlock a minimum win with additional symbols increasing the win awarded. Time Machine Pay Rise Reels is also home to a wild symbol which can substitute all symbols within the game aiding the player in creating these matching combinations. Each win awarded goes onto increase the size of the game board by one horizontal reel up to a maximum of 5x7 and this increases the winning ways and the chance to land yet another win as you are also given a respin.
Bonus Game
Awarded for landing four consecutive wins within one spin the player is awarded 7 free spins with the reels set at 7x5 and having 16,807 ways to win along with stacked wilds, these wilds further aid the player in unlocking bigger wins. Additionally the bonus game has a +1 extra free spin symbol which can land on either reel 1 or 5 and awards an additional free spin for each present.
Genius Gambling Review
Making an early attempt at being crowned ugliest slot of 2022 comes Time Machine Pay Rise Reels, its dull greys and browns offset by flashes of colour almost induce a headache from the start with the slots symbols being hard to distinguish what they are made even harder as they shrink whilst the reels grow in size during play. The gameplay is slightly better than the overall aesthetics with growing reels awarding the slots bonus being quite a new concept for Reflex Gaming however the slots low volatility hinder any big win potential present. You could in theory grow the reels to their maximum height but the slot simply doesn't have big wins programmed into it preferring its wins to be little and often so unfortunately the slot will begin to actively work against you as you increase up to the maximum 16,807 ways. We will take a moment to say the sound design is relatively good here but unfortunately the rest of the slot feels patched together and distinctly amateur. We really plead with Yggdrasil to have more of an active role within their masters platform as this lacklustre release is yet another stain on their reputation from the master platform they put their name to. Because of these reasons we award Reflex Gaming's Time Machine Pay Rise Reels our Genius Gambling Rating of 3/10 an improvement on Krazy Klimber but still well below what ourselves and players expect when playing a slot machine.
i loved the slot, i thought it was a really innovative and exciting, got a big win on it too
